Common Questions about Vacation Rental Homes

What is the age requirement for people to rent and stay in your homes?
All guests staying in our houses or condos must be at least 25 years of age; unless being accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
Cancelation Policy for Reservations: Tenant must provide PSG with a written notice of cancelation of the rental terms and the following policy will apply.
31 days plus before arrival date          $250.00 penalty plus associated taxes ($278.75 total at the current tax rate for the City of Palm Springs)
Under 30 days before arrival               100% penalty unless house/condo is re-rented, then prior cancelation fee applies
Tenant cancels a reservation within 30 days of scheduled arrival in the rental terms, the entire amount contracted shall be forfeited, unless PSG is able to re-rent the premises for the for the canceled period or any portion thereof of at least equal rental fees. 
If PSG is able to re-rent the premises, the Tenant will receive a refund less the cancelation fee of $250.00 plus tax. 
When do I have to pay?
50% would be due to reserve & the balance due 30 days prior to your arrival date. If your arrival date is less than 30 days prior to arrival date, the full amount is due. We accept Visa, MasterCard & Discover.

What do you provide in the bathrooms?
We start you off with small soaps, shampoo, toilet paper, a blow dryer and lotion in each bathroom. Towels (bath and pool) and linens are provided.
What are the standard check-in time and check-out times:
Standard check-in time is 3pm and the standard check-out time is 11am. If it is available, you can add an early arrival or a late departure for $150 plus tax each. Early arrival will allow you in as early as 11am. Late departure would allow you to stay until 4pm.

Accidental Damage Waiver Fee or Security Deposit:
You can either pay the accidental damage waiver fee (not refundable), which covers you for up to $750 worth of accidental damage or you can pay a security deposit of $1000 which is fully refundable 3 weeks after your departure, if there are no damages. During the Coachella Music Festival, the  accidental damage waiver fee is not an option; there is a required (refundable) security deposit.
Regarding Taxes on Monthly Rentals and Utility Deposits:
For Monthly (or longer) Guests staying in private homes, you would pay a utility deposit to cover the Gas & Electric Costs during your entire stay instead of a daily pool/spa heating fee (this is a pro-rated amount). The owner sends actual bills after departure. Also, you are able to bypass taxes with monthly rentals.
Do I need pool/spa heating on my reservation?:
We recommend the pool/spa heating from October through June. Whatever the night time lows are, that will be what temperature the pool will rest at. So if it’s 60 degrees overnight, the pool will be about that temperature (give or take about 5 degrees).
***Last minute reservations made during the cooler months, please realize, it usually takes hours, sometimes up to 48 hours to get the pools up to temperature. Pools are set to 86 degrees and spas are set between 102 to 104 degrees.

What are the requirements or stipulations for The Coachella Music Festival:
For the Coachella Music Festival dates, all of our homes have an increased rate and up to a 4 night minimum. (The increase starts April 12th – April 23rd, 2018.) There is also a required $1000 refundable, security deposit for that time period (may not be included on the website price breakdown). All of our properties have an increased nightly rate.
